Quiet Tyres

In the past, the only thing I looked for in tyres was grip and performance. But now I'm in my 30s and find myself looking for silent/comfort/fuel economy tyres.

So far my googling has led to the following which are available in Singapore, Yokohama Advan DB 552, Dunlop Veuro VE303, Michelin Primacy 4, and Bridgestone Turanza T005A.

Any ones you would recommend? Best if it can be silent, fuel economical and comfortable at the same time! 😛

Primacy 4. Best all-rounder among the list

I will recommend Bridgestone Turanza T005.

if you want comfort and silent, I think it is the way.

Quiet means less grip.

Less grip in rainy weather means more likely to skid.

If you buy really quiet tyres please let us know which model

I also want to buy for my MIL.

Long life, fuel economy, grip or price not important at all.

:D

You can consider getting your MIL Michelin X-Ice. Sure no grip.

but don't think you can get it from Singapore. This is a winter tyre. hahahaha.

You can try and buy from amazon. hahahaha

I am on Michelin Primacy 4, this set of tyres have been 2 years and covered slightly over 20k km now, they still feel good. Impression I first had and up till now about these tyres are, low tyre noise and softer ride (judged by same tyre pressure on past brands).

try and tested myself

Primacy 4 lose out in quietness if compare to turanza t005a. by quite abit i would say .

dry grip and performance during rain, i would say about the same.

but t005a lose out alot in the lasting factor. it botak quite fast.

my previous experience with Bridgestone Turanza series has been quite good, so I'll pick Bridgestone.

Thanks everyone for the recommendations!

Looks like so far no. 1 by popularity is Michelin Primacy 4 followed by Bridgestone Turanza T005A.

For the Goodyear just to confirm, is the full name Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance 2?
