There are at least two security guards deployed at each school. They should have acted as they are the first line of defence of the school. They can shoo them away, if not complied, they can call the police, with the permission of the school leaders.

I am going off topic but while this is poor advertising, it seems that the clowns don't know the legal danger they are in.

Many years ago, when I was still a student nurse and pagers were considered a luxury then, we were about to go to the primary schools for attachment. We were briefed with one thing.  Don't kidnap the kids.  And this applied when we go to paediatric wards.  Otherwise the police will be after us.

At first we laughed.  How can we kidnap people?  Then we were told our seniors got into trouble.  But they got away with a warning.  So we listened.

Apparently the previous batch went to a primary school.  After school,  they saw one of the students who they bonded with during the examination waiting for the school bus.  So the student nurses invited him to the coffee shop next door for ice cream while waiting for the bus.  There was a hoo haa.  Cos the nurses were not legal guardians and they brought a student out of the school.

So a warning was issued.  Don't do such things.  Cos we were teenagers still and wanted to have fun and sometimes the children also wanted to play.  But we must remember they are minors and cannot be brought out of the school or ward even if just next door, even for an ice cream.

In the case, the people dressed as clowns might not have considered this and just invited the students to follow them.

Yeah, be it this thing happening, Parents are suppose to educate their children not to communicate with strangers. Let alone follow a damn clown. 

I let my kid go on the HSR in China with relative waiting the other side to train her and teach her not to speak with anyone and report to us on the journey. We also brief her how to react if she meet some strangers who are persistent

Any parents can straight away tell you this will be a disaster. Must be some childless millennial coming up with this genius of an idea. Now really wish fulfilled become viral but for the wrong reason LOL
