Can dress up nicely too.

Got one old Ah Pek in white suit and black rim glasses holding a walking stock.

Kids may know too

All, white outfit. Looks clean and bright, well groomed and friendly too.

Who is right or who is wrong?

If CCS comes in a clown suit and offer chicken rice at CC and ask those offered to take a bus to stadium, nobody complains.

Isn't all schools are good schools?

When this clown came around to schools, why only parents cry mother and cry father? Did concerned parents did not informed schools and insist something to be done? Did the schools do anything to investigate the situation - proactively? Why wait until some parent called the police before anything is done?

It seems as a society, we are too complacent and too self absorbed. Do we still remember Mas Selamat, the limped who was able to escaped out of a high security prison and swim to Johore (never wear speedo swimming trunks), only to return to us by what many Singaporeans considered corrupt and incompetent Malaysian Police and Military.

Though it is just a small incident but it does show we are consistently are too a r s e tight and only seem to know how to follow SOP.

We think we were smart, out-source everything including our food until when our neighbor decides to send less over, we panic and some were called xia suay. But citizens like Ivy Singh had been calling out to improve our farming community. Then we go into over drive, dishing out public money to anybody to farm in roof tops, carparks and vertical buildings.

Its seems we are really good in processing when there are no variables or anything that deviate from the centre line. However, this does not meant that we did not achieve anything.

We really need to focus on our citizens whose forefathers had made a compact with our authorities, that their sacrifices, including hard work, blood and in some cases death, are to ensure a reasonable good life for ours and their children (true blue) in Singapore. Unfortunately, in recent parliament debate, rare opportunity to show and do something concrete to alleviate not just worries but real sufferings our  local citizens, it turned a debate into a court case intimidating and questioning the witness. In parliament, our representatives from both sides bring questions and doubts to the table from the people, they stand equal because they represent our people but yet some decide to pass derogative comments on individuals. Respect is a two way street.

I used to do volunteer work in our Changi Hilton, there are some gangsters there with more integrity than many of our well known successful financial people.

In the fight of Covid, how much have our government spent, more than hundred of billions, where do most of these money go to, support mainly who? I notice despite being given a lending hand to NTUC Fairprice, in the mist of the pandemic, authorities encourage more social distance, NTUC decides to have a delivery fee and worse SERVICE FEE (which cannot be waived for even a million dollar order). Is NTUC Fairprice a cooperative for the man in the street? Many complained NTUC prices are often more expensive than Giant or SS. Not to forget NTUC Fairprice do have special rental rates in many location because of its size and register status.

In short, ST has been moving in a direction to be an open source of information for not just for the elites but also for the common people. We have gone non partisan for the longest time but it is just citizens biasness and ingrain prejudices that the stigma had stuck with us. We have changed and listen to our readers. Don't believe test us out, subscribe to ST for 1 year and you be the judge.
