No.  This situation will not happen to me.

WHY???

Because I take 10 years to think and decide what car I REALLY want to buy and then finally buy it at the 11th year mark and drive till its 20th year.

This happened to my previous Nissan Presea and is likely to happen to my current Teana.

I am super kiam.  I know.

It's ok to be kiam siap, but not ok to be kiam 😅

Lich man spotted🤣🤣🤣

By the way, why didn't you continue with the Presea  when it reached 20 years ? What you have to pay is only COE, you have no PARF to write off.

By the way if you are the second, third or even fourth owner

then the other 3 owners would have absorbed most of the depreciation already!

:D

To sell a third or fourth owner car the loss is really minimal.

If so many owners, worry that it may be a lemon

Many owners for sports cars may be more OK since turnover very high

For @RadX we can do Chuck Norris style jokes***.

RadX doesn't change tyres, he changes car.

RadX doesn't inflate tyres, he changes car.

RadX doesn't fill petrol, he changes car.

Etc.

***Except in his case they're not jokes. 😁

Come I add a few more...

Radx does not top up wiper liquid, he changes car.

Radx does not send car for servicing, he changes car.

Radx does not replace car battery, he changes car.

Let me try let me try...

RadX doesn't wash his car, change car when it's dirty

RadX doesn't lock his car, change car when it's stolen

RadX doesn't use signal stalk, change car when he accidentally does

😁

Because listings are free on Carousell and the inbuilt chat function means one can hide behind the screen and make an offer.

The same can be said for sgCarMart but you'll have to use a phone number to reach out. I've heard from friends about buyers listing cars on Carousell only to test market and are not serious about selling, again since listings are free, why not?

wah… only rich and atas people can make such statement

so we know goddess belong to this category

😅🤣

It's a hypothetical question because although I say I dislike my car, I'm also not convinced I'll like my next car as I have a limited budget. 😶 But who knows if I can sell it at a minimal loss, why not?

Yes indeed that is the one.

Thank you for helping me understand (and realized) why I like Volkswagen Beetle too!

I bought 2 of my ex cars from there...nearly buy another but price couldn't match...

Got genuine sellers...just need to be patient to wait out but act fast when it's listed

If the amount of loss is acceptable/ affordable, I would suggest to start looking for one you like; and sell away current ride.
Life’s short , why make yourself unhappy every time you approach the car 😅

I'm not unhappy. I'm just not a big fan of the way it looks from certain angle and how slow it is. Perfectly fine with driving it from point a to b but I don't look at it and go, damn I love my car.

And the second biggest joke is 1 year warranty. Even if you buy from dealer, lemon law only covers you 6 months. What warranty 1 year and test drive one hour? Test drive to JB ah? Need to bring passport? 😂
