Break 2:01 is possible.  His Tokyo Marathon timing is a good indication.

Given that he usually runs negative splits, I think he probably needs to push the first half with the pacers, run the 2nd half with whoever can keep up the pace, and likely have to run the last 10km by himself. If he does 60min or just a few sec over first half, he can make it.

LoL I didnt know running in formation gives less air resistance. Like the migrating birds fly in formation.

When I ran SC Taipei, I was following 2:45 pacer. A bunch of Chiobu😍

Think only Marathon in SG has longer cut off timing.

I know SCM FM cut off was 9hrs.

Probably HM cut off around 4hrs.

Singapore course is more siong than overseas. Need more time, the last finishers are getting the worst of the sun during noon.  After 9am the heat starts to built up sharply. Humidity another killer.

Like the balloons disappearing into thin air 🤪 and then appearing again when they make a U turn at some points and you realize ….. OMG they are like a few km ++ away 😰

That’s why I actually prefer Sundown marathon…… much cooler and finishing it’s just about to sunrise
