Some of their items are overpriced, like Meji dairy products. Can be found at our local supermarkets at a lower price. Unless it is the rockmelon flavour milk, this is not common. You can also find it at Meidi-ya. I find it a bit too sweet but it is flavorful. Other things that are overpriced are the food at their foodcourt. Prices are the similar to restaurants but self-service. I think a lot of things they sell cost more than outside.

What I buy are teas, milk tea and red tea(sweeten), not so commonly found anywhere. But not the ice lemon tea. Outside buy Pokka one is cheaper. The UCC coffee Daiso selling at $2 but I saw Donki selling at $3.90? But is it bigger bottle I didnt pay attention. I tried the less sugar black coffee before. I dont like it. The other thing I buy are fruit jellies but not all the branches have the same type and size. So far only one branch have the one I like, selling 3 for $9.90.

I like Takoyaki, only they have it available near where I stay. I also like their wheat soba which they sell chilled, it is good but no other ingredients, only got the soy sauce and the puffy stuff. They dont prepare many so it sells out rather quickly. Frozen food good for steamboat at home together with their sliced meats.

Those back massage roller I think you are better off buying at Dechathlon. In fact those exercise stuff it is better to go to Dechathlon. They are cheaper.

Snacks wise....I dont like to snack so cant recommend any.

My favorite food there, grilled squid!!  It’s found at the chill fridge section.

Yes, it’s best eaten cold together with beers or stout. Haha

Turbocharged

1. Loose cuts of salmon - Used to be very cheap at $5.80 per box but price has doubled since last week.

2. This brand of Japanese drip coffee. Dark green packaging with some gold trimming. $6.90 for 24 sachets. My go-to coffee while WFH.

3. Those big Aomori apples. Most times around $3+ per apple but there are times they will price it at $10 for 4.

4. Cheap dark chocolates for $1.90 per box. 1 box can last me around 1+ month.

5. A wide variety of somen and soba from cheap to affordable.

6. Will buy their bento meals if near meal times. Find it quite ok, though the taste is a tad off from the cheaper ones you get at JR stations. But the variety is good.

7. The wife likes a particular brand of milk tea there.

Donki unagi quality is what you pay for. For good unagi, have to go to those specialist restaurants where 1 meal is at least $30+ dollars before svc charge and GST. But of course still cannot compare to the 招牌老店 in Nagoya.

That is because most unagi in Singapore are sub-par.

You have not tasted unagi until you tasted this:

http://www.uya.sg/

I think closest to unagi restaurant in Japan already.

Or Man Man at Tanjong Pagar. Tried both before. Taste close to each other. But at Man Man TP, you get to see them prepping your eel if your stomach does not churn.
