At speeds above 20 km/h, AEB will reduce the likelihood or severity of an accident. The taxi doesnt look like it is travelling at speeds below 20km/hr. The BlueSG driver should be thankful that he is in a position to pay the insurance excess for causing an accident. If the lorry was any taller, he won't even have a head left to be able to write the cheque to BlueSG.
