lai liao....

after no evident, what is next "reassurance" they gonna give?

Next line from the playbook script is : "..situation is under control" [laugh] , then followed by ??

Meanwhile, seating will change back to 2 per table, group size back to 2.

I notice the numbers creeping up past few days and with that, ICU occupancy too. But this is probably due to the easing up of restrictions enacted 2-3 weeks ago, first, family members allowed to sit in group of 5, then fully-vacc group of 5. And this applies not just to restaurants, but also group activities, e.g. sports, gym, etc. Definitely will bump up the number of cases and we're seeing it now.

Omicron: Norway discovers 50 new variant cases linked to company’s Christmas bash

https://www.standard.co.uk/news/world/omicron-covid-norway-oslo-christmas-party-cases-b969666.html

The news article jumped the gun on declaring omicron on the 50 covid positive from the event.

So far it is the initial person found covid positive that had been omicron confirmed.

https://www.fhi.no/en/news/2021/omicron-variant-confirmed-in-outbreak-with-over-50-cases-in-oslo/

Though it is very likely the 50 would be omicron. There was recommended pre-event testing and most of the people were vaccinated. The initial covid positive with omicron confirmation, was said to be not vaccinated in social media.

Germany imposes curbs on unvaccinated, to make COVID-19 shots mandatory

Quote

Outgoing Chancellor Angela Merkel and her successor Olaf Scholz agreed with leaders of Germany's 16 states to bar the unvaccinated from access to all but the most essential businesses such as grocery stores, pharmacies and bakeries.

They also agreed to pass legislation in the national parliament to make vaccination mandatory.

Seems that most people are supportive of OYK

I'm not pro-PAP, but I think OYK is fully engaged and doing an extremely difficult tasks right now. While his colleagues can probably yawn and sleep in Parliament.

Sure, there will be brickbats thrown at him, by those who just seek to criticize anything and everything he does.

Best is to be backbencher new MP [laugh] Every month draw allowance, no need to ponder about weighty decisions and get pot-shots from the public.

Become PM candidate is so stressful.
