Expectations weighing him down. He will need a period of time to get used to the new fame before returning to his old self!

more like over-expectation ... winning 1 tournament does not mean he is really World Champion No. 1 leh ...

As long as he is still determined to preserve AND have sufficient rest, am sure he will be back winning some medals.

I read that he's a very busy young man, training with equally strong young men like himself, almost non-stop.

There is such a thing as reaching one's limit/talent/skills and always another mountain higher than another.

To know when to stop is also a difficult decision but necessary.

Part of sportsmanship is pushing one's limit to the sky. Some make it, some dun, because the body is not on good terms with what the mind wants.

But his strength is also his weakness. He's training with ppl who probably know his style or strategies well. But the same is true that he also know theirs.

So, on actual day of tournament, it may boils down to one being in right form, stars all aligned and lady luck is smiling on you.

Good luck! May your hunger for winning bring you many feasts of medals and your feats go down in badminton history as one of the best if not the best, in your time.

Stay safe all

Cheers

LKY did ok at the All England although losing 2-1 to World No. 3. Creditable effort!

I am of the view that there is an element of luck for LKY winning the World Championship as an underdog. Firstly, the big guns is not there and secondly, the better players were caught by the way he plays and his speed.
