Recently found some cheaper milk for my toddler at a local mini mart. It used to be called Econ minimart but the name has changed.

Milk powder comes in refill package and so was much cheaper than the canned version.

talk about car rides, there were occasions when my girl keep crying for no apparent reason, her pediatrician advised us to try put her on a moving car ride or pram ride. We did that around our neighbourhood and it really solved those mysterious crying episodes, best thing was one occasion around 2~3 am, we met another mother in similar situation pushing her baby in a pram. 🤣

it's the full month! I made it so far and my eye bags are only half as big as before, haha.

 

Normally you go round giving cakes or eggs, but given the current Covid times, can I send cake vouchers? What's a good sum bros?

I received 1st mth vouchers b4, iirc it's a cake fr bangawan solo, not sure abt e price thou.

Maintenance is higher than your conti car man..

I just went down to mothercare to get this nasal aspirator, $110.... money money ...

I was using the manual device previously to suck out her secretions... I'm really the sucker... haha

I got a bunch of cakes from Bengawan Solo eventually at Harborfront... they have definitely done this before and there are vouchers, cakes in various denominations.

Being an older parent, many of my friends are in a position to give nice gifts... grateful...

Wah the flight-check for bathing is amazing....

 

- switch on heater

- get stool ready

- bring up hot water flask to fill up tray for cotton balls 

- place 10 cotton balls inside

- get cloth for cleaning teeth, soak in warm water

- turn off fan

- place incopad under baby

- get new clothes ready, swaddle cloth, two towels for bathing and bath towel

- fill up tub, check temp

- take cotton balls and wipe outwards - eyes, forehead, nose, face, chin, ears

- take clothes off

- bring baby to bath, wrap in swaddle cloth

- hold baby with head facing bath, lower baby a bit 

- take bath cloth and wipe head, use lots of water

- place baby perpendicular to body / tub on towel

- dry baby's head 

- change grip, hold baby parallel to bath, but such that water falls out of bath tub

- rinse private areas copiously 

- change grip, grab thigh, with arm under head R hand, use left hand for washing

- hold L thigh with L hand, place into warm water facing up

- take one towel covered in water and place on chest

- take other towel to wash body, make sure you cover crevices like the armpits and behind the knees

- place baby head facing down resting chest on L arm

- wash the baby, flush with lots of water, keeping baby warm

- wash back of head 

- sing or talk to baby

- wash private areas

- place towel between legs 

- change grip, R arm holding R thigh, with R arm under head, grab R thigh with L arm

- place baby perpendicular to body / tub on towel

- dry baby 

- wrap baby

- bring baby to changing platform

- get chemicals ready:

body lotion

Desitin for private areas

Chinese oil for tummy and toes

- put on diapers first and wear clothes

- rub and massage baby with body lotion (Aveeno)

- Desitin cream for crevices

- Chinese oil after warming hands

- adjust diapers

- fasten clothes

- carry baby
