It's an all girl school?

"From TKC Old Girls 1980-2021". It is at the bottom of the cardboard he is holding. Maybe one of the old girls is working at the car dealership? 2 birds 1 stone. Can do something for the teacher and make sales quota at the same time. LoL...

Anyway he looks kinda young. Do they have demand for private/tuition teachers over there? I think he will continue teaching at private centers. Maybe get a Tesla next time? Hehe....

Only students self make cards or recycle paper flowers = zero cost .... :we-all-gonna-die:

Colleagues and Principal can give treats to retire teachers but not students (when cost involve) [:)]

Or small token of appreciation like watch or pen but must have deface value like engrave date & name at the back of the watch casing

When the teacher is already retired and is no longer in the employ of the civil service, nothing stops ex-students from giving him. Over here, we have a knee-jerk reaction thanks to social engineering, fully expecting our civil and public service to be whiter-than-white, but hey, it can come in many forms, right? [laugh]

By the way this tunku kurshiah is one of those "elite" schools in malaysia, like those ang moh name schools from the olden british colonial days. From wiki "...is a premier boarding school located in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. TKC is one of the best all-girls residential school and the first fully residential girls' school in Malaysia." Fully boarding, residential school is somewhat in the flavour of british boarding schools... is like NS from young age with no book-out on weekends [laugh]

No doubt the alumni are all mainly higher placed in the working world and society in malaysia - sharing the cost of a car is small change to them.

Why the teacher looks young? In malaysia civil service, they still have pension scheme for the old-timers (not sure if this teacher still made it to such a sweet deal) and option for early retirement at 55 (if i am not mistaken). Basically, old rules apply to old-timers. Anyway, good man... noticed his name is so short and simple unlike nowadays the names all very grand.

He may not have to lim kopi lah, but, he has to declare and surrender the gift. Formerly one had to declare and pay for the cost if he wished to keep the gift. Now it is prohibited.😐
