Hello,

Done some cleaning and after drying up, the signal and wiper controls become like this.

Any idea what happened and what can be done to restore and also protect it further?

Thanks.137171967_WhatsAppImage2021-12-31at14_58_35.thumb.jpeg.1ee03a001ff130e60b3ea077efcec109.jpeg

@ER-3682 Its a toyota. Used protectant to wipe off the dirt. After drying, becomes like this.

Used the same protectant on previous toyota. No issues.

You have got sweaty palms or hands is it?

Use some electrical contact cleaner from WD40, NOT WD40, it is the electrical contact cleaner, WD40 is just the name of the brand. It is quick dry and will not damage any circuits. Use a paper towel and place it against the back of the stalk to prevent spraying all over the dash. The solvent should be able to melt away your "residue".
