I have a very daring, but likely effective, solution for rich parents making it difficult for the schools.

Money is nothing to them. Instead of fine, but them where it hurts.

First offence, warning.

Second offence, minus 5 marks from the child's next test score.

Third offence, minus 10 marks...

Should work, but doubt any minister dares to approve this...

Certain school do accept donation in kind like computer system, sport equipments, audio/visual equipments etc.

Demerit points for student would not be feasible and fair to any student. All along is the adults own doing. Ask any kids would they want parent to sent / fetch them from School and I am sure 99% would decline.😁

I dont see why not use their passenger to reinforce courteous and civil behaviour?

School can start polite campaign that encourages civic behaviour.

Yeye must be nice, teacher say one sure die mati old fart from innocent grandchild.

All the good old kreta ayer behaviour is going nowhere.

I didn't drive much in the afternoon. Only 1 occasion around 1pm, pickup at St Margaret Primary at Wilkie Rd.

Wow bloody jam all the way from Sophie Rd and it's a one-way street all the way. Even if you live there, you have to join the bloody queue to bypass the school and exit into city.

Best part is u cannot horn for fear of walking up the SEP afternoon Beauti sleep

Early in the morning, around 7am onwards, avoid Dover Rd.

Don't accidentally turn in there, you'll be caught in the horrendous jam.

Now back to old norm to jumpstart the economy, every where also jam.

escort used to not need to whoop whoop to get cars to pull yo the side now does it more often

Aiyah, the old man is so not that smart. Buy the whole school and he can drive in and out any time any day he pleases. Or hire a team of first-class teachers to home school his kid / grand kids.

Oh... you mean he is not that rich?

civic behaviour of giving in to others? not in Singapore lah... we are a small place and we need to compete with each other for resources...school, table, parking space, COE...

Will the rich give up a few COE, so the not so rich can have ? Never lah...they will buy a car for a few wives and mistresses, to all the kids, legal one or illegal ones.

In Singapore, we are trained to compete and care for yourself only😁

Ask those ministers to give their ride(s). They do so we follow suit.

Neo is a bad word these days LOL

Liang Tianding, president of the Importers and Exporters Association, is accused of being a Bentley driver

The incident of Bentley hitting a security guard continued, and three netizens pointed at Liang Tianding, president of the Automobile Importers and Exporters Association, and pointed out that he was the driver. Liang Tianding said that this kind of accusation was baseless and that he did not know what the other party had in mind. He went to the police station for the record yesterday.

When a Bentley luxury car arrived at Bedok Sang Tsz School at about 7 am on Monday (10th), it cut the queue from the second lane, ignoring the 62-year-old security guard Liang Yafa who was blocking the school gate, stepped on the accelerator and pushed forward, hitting the school. Injure the opponent's leg.

The behavior of the 61-year-old Bentley driver was filmed by the public, and the video went viral on the Internet, causing public outrage. The driver was later arrested for reckless behavior causing injury.

Since the incident was exposed, the Bentley driver has not spoken out, but then the matter has been extrapolated. On the afternoon of the day before yesterday (12th) on social media, some netizens posted a post that pointed out that Liang Tianding, president of the Singapore Automobile Importers and Exporters Association, was a Bentley driver.

In response to the accusations by netizens, Liang Tianding posted on Facebook yesterday to clarify that he was not a driver.

"The car is not mine," he said in a post. "These baseless allegations on social media are outrageous, and I have filed a police report."

Liang Tianding, 51, confirmed in an interview with this newspaper yesterday that he was slandered. He pointed out that he suddenly received calls from several friends at noon the day before yesterday, asking him if he knew that he had been involved in the Bentley incident.

When questioned, the police confirmed that they had received the above-mentioned report.

Why waste the police's time and file a report if he is not involved at all 🤣

+ ACS + UWC + Dover Court

Yes, the flats opp Fairfield used to be a good place to drop off and pickup the kids to ease the congestion. There's also a pedestrian crossing in front of the school making it so much easier.
