There is a Char Chaan Teng(not Benz Hui) on the same row of shops.

I went there twice (with 6 mths gap in btw). Both times also long q.

End up eat BKT. BKT not bad.

I don’t think he got so much $ to burn.

He is not some A list actor

He bought a landed in the area and funded the daughter's business venture (F&B business easily $400-500k to start up), so should be relatively well off.

Tong Sheng BKT? I thought they just opened? Yes, it is not bad.

My 2nd visit was some time last month.

He is well off but still far from A-lister.

He only has 1 daughter.

If a HK doctor know his job he will be very happy to explain why he is prescribing that particular medicine

But like any other profession, if a person does not know he is job then he will find answering questions he does not the know the answer to and the person asking very irritating.

:D

We are not complaining

We are thinking outside the box and suggesting ways to improve.

Its the education system they don't want us to just accept

but to be innovative and do thing faster, cheaper and better.

Does that sound familiar?

So we learn that we should also be asking for things to be faster, cheaper and better too!

:D

We are putting our learning into practice.

Maybe Benny come from a time when people cannot talk back.

People just had to keep quiet, listen and obey.

This generation is about asking why?

I am not sure when Benny was last back in HK.

I have seen people in HK complaining too.

:D

This group complaining about being prosecuted in a China court.

2 million of them complaining very positively.

Since when being knowledgeable is a bad thing?

I wish I was smarter and know you don't just marry one person

but their whole family.

Its fine to have an opinion, but who asked him for it in the first place?

People are bound to compare, especially when you relocate from one place to another.

Agree with the general observation. But I think our grumbling is more passive rather than active compared to other nationalities.

I share with you my recent incident with our regular gp. My son went to see him for some running nose, not covid. The poor doctor is so overworked cos of the recent issue when ppl are asked to stay home to recover, he issue the wrong medication. Luckily my wife is alert and noticed the medication isnt for running nose when collecting the medication and asked the clinic assistant about it. The gp made the corrections quickly(they wrongly gave us some antibiotics and cough medicine). Since we knew he is tired we never made any comprains and moved on.

I disagree with Benz Hui. If we were ignorant and my son took the medications although the antibiotics and cough medicine wont do him harm it didnt treat his symptoms. We would have to go back again to get the correct medicine. My son would probably have to suffer running nose for quite a while. It might worry his teacher and classmates thinking he might have covid or smth and give my wife a call. Our knowledge saved us a lot of trouble.

Benz Hui is an idiot. The doctor is also a human being, can get tired and make mistakes.

If his daughter cafe does food delivery, maybe he can see who are the people doing it. It’s Singaporeans.

Singaporeans doing gig economy is never good. Where’s the other jobs with stability and benefits? And it’s not just the flexibility.

Even Tharman know it 6 years ago and it’s worse now.

Let this idiot stay for another 10 years and he will know the ba wu of chenghu. He will be complaining then.

I don't even know what "too knowledgeable for their own good" is supposed to mean. Knowledge is power, and a good thing.

A lot of good HKers are coming here to escape (what they see as) increasing oppression in their own country - including a good specialist doctor I've successfully hired.

But something tells me that someone who thinks "too much knowledge" is a bad thing would feel more at home in his own system.

Having knowledge is good but perhaps he might be referring to how "we" deliver it. Knowledge will provide us a proper base to ask intelligent questions to "complete" our learning but if we do so in a condescending way, then it will likely be perceived negatively.
