Really Damn off the video of what happened in the back alley. Would advise those who haven't seen it not to watch. Makes me feel sick siah.

At least 2-3 video is circulating in my whatsapp group.

I watch for few second and turn off the video. Feeling very sad and painful, can't bear to watch the whole video.

All I know and see is many people in SG are living in a pressure cooking. Some cannot contain the pressure will be like this or rage incident we see by cyclists and motorists and many others.

SG on the surface is good but deep within many are living under mental stress tolerance.

yah correct, for many years SG has been a pressure cooker society already, covid lockdowns and restrictions on travel etc just made things a lot worse.

Coupled with inflation costs  spiking the past year is a triple whammy for many people already on the edge.

We cannot deny the facts as society our focus has been centering on the hardware neglecting the software. What is the meaning of having a first class hardware but a society with dysfunctional software.

Just not too distance ago we have the tragic RV incident. Since then till now we are seeing such horrific event almost on a monthly basic.

Hope the government or relevant ministry can pay more attention to the mental state of society as a whole.

Hope this is the last case. Haiz ...

The Police have arrested a 46-year-old man for his suspected involvement in the attempted murder of a 41-year-old woman, who is believed to be his wife.

On 14 April 2022 at about 5.30pm, the Police responded to a case of assault with a chopper at 75 Beach Road. Upon arrival, officers found the woman with slash wounds at the scene. The woman was conveyed conscious to the hospital. Preliminary investigations revealed that the 46-year-old man had allegedly attacked the woman with a chopper.

Several members of the public had intervened to help the victim and prevent the man from causing further harm to the victim. Police officers arrived at the scene, located the armed man in the vicinity and deployed Taser to subdue him. Prior to the officers’ arrival, the man was believed to have slit his own wrists with a chopper. The man was subsequently arrested, and he was conveyed conscious to the hospital. The chopper was seized.

Police investigations are ongoing.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (AC) Jeremy Ang, Commander of Central Police Division, said: “The Police would like to commend the members of the public who had intervened to prevent the man from causing further harm to the woman.”

The 46-year-old man will be charged in court on 16 April 2022 with attempted murder under Section 307 of the Penal Code. Those found guilty of the offence of attempted murder will be liable for life imprisonment, imprisonment of up to 20 years and a fine, or both.

The Police are aware of videos circulating online of the incident and would like to urge members of the public to refrain from circulating the videos and speculating on the case.

We are seeing the effect of slow correction in what was used to be good.

The tradition of 1st class infra started from LKY.

Nobody going to say his policy is outdated.

It seems like Attempted Murder is the only option with the stiffness punishments.

It seems like Police Statements is incomplete.

“(a)imprisonment for life and shall also be liable to caning; or

(b)imprisonment for a term which may extend to 20 years, and shall also be liable to fine, or to caning or to both.”

When the husband wants to kill the wife, usually is that one reason. My heart goes out to the man.
