Mini is different story.

 

What I meant was don't write off a brand based on the lowest form of life / mass market money making model. Even build quality and important parts can be very different as you go up the model hierarchy. 

Interior materials differ vastly from the X1 to the 5 series

Seat materials go from Sensatec to at least 3 different quality leathers.

I recently watched this YouTuber who had an M performance 3 series ( 340i )  and an M3/M4 on a ramp . The quality of visible welding on the suspension components and the undercover were very different.Off topic , this is also why it's ridiculous putting an M3 badge on a 316i 🤣 with a bodykit.

X1 etc is only to get you into the brand . Unfortunately , in Singapore , taxes on cars mean u get stuck at that level only for the most part.

I don't know why you associate doing some due diligence with can't afford a BMW.

Ya, I always find it strange that some in MCF sees the purchase of cars as a reflection of a person’s wealth.

You are right! To buy a car more than your annual income is definitely not worth it. The car is a depreciating asset.

I am the Opposite,my Suppliers drive brand new Mercedes Benz S-Class or BMW 7 Series,have the worst Payment Term,while Companies driving B&B Cars,best payment,buy Cash.
