You are right. This is the exact reason.

I don't think PML bringing in this Model...maybe the other AD TranEurokar will come in.

BMW Asia is the one to decide which cars to bring in, not the dealer. So Eurokars will also have the same models.

In that case, what we would expecting between pml and ek would just be

  • who give better discount?
  • who give worse service?

Mini clubman has always been a van.

Look at the tailgate.

Both AD will have the same margin from the same product.

Isn't the new-ish M135i also FWD and more powerful? Why bother with this?

In any case, remember - FWD is a compromise. Always go RWD if you have the choice. I'm so glad I've owned the real M135i before and currently own the M140i. Both great RWD hot hatches.

FWD can be good if the maker has perfected their craft on that platform, like with Honda and the Civic Type R. But BMW is known for two things: 6 pots and RWD. Except for even higher specced stuff (like their 8 cylinder and historically, 10 cylinder, engines), that's the tried and tested formula.

You forgot plus the pairing with 8 speed ZF. I think the bmw tuning of the zf is the best.

Absolutely. I'm totally loving the ZF 8 spd on my M140i. I would choose that over a manual in this car any day.

Yah, but mini seems to receive the trickle down a tad late.

When f40 was out with id7, mini still require paying an upgrade fee to up-spec from id5 to id6.

Rumour is that the concept Rover R30 was turned into the 1st Gen RWD 1 series after BMW sold Rover.

BMW Asia never brought in the whole range of the F20 . No reason for them to suddenly bring in all forms of the F40.

And with the COE going wild , it's unlikely that they will sell many of what they bring in either .

The age of the F20 in Singapore was when COE was ' lowish ' and the diesel was in Cat A with prices going in the low $ 11x000.

Indent now quite difficult. You can't even indent a Touring anymore.
