Won’t sell well. No 7-seat option.

If only need 5 seats, might as well just get Model 3. Almost 30k cheaper and nicer looking also

supercar performance at german bnb price?

Maybe with more direct retailing by the German car makers, the pricengap will be closer.

Hope Tesla shakes the market more and help get rid of greedy ADs.

No car maker will care to make pricing like Tesla.

I got the model X as uber ride in HK. I must say I enjoyed the ride more than being in Alfart due to the all glass roof and falcon wing door entry/exit. I'm guessing Y shd be an equally comfortable ride for passengers. But I won't buy it as a driver 🤣

In Singapore context, bulk of the car price goes to the Govt coffers......doubt it will make much of a dent in the price with the direct retailing.

Model 3 is cheaper than Polestar 2.

Model 3 OMV about $60k.

Polestar 2 OMV about $40k.

Direct sales model won’t make car prices cheaper in Singapore.

With the profit margin imputed into the car price, the OMV goes up and therefore the ARF goes up.

If the brand sells through an authorized agent in Singapore, it can sell the car at cost to the agent and then split the profit margin with the dealer. The OMV is kept low hence ARF is low.

end result - either gahmen wins or agent wins. Consumer still lose

Some people like the taller/higher SUV style.

COE so expensive yet Tesla Model Y Became the Best-Selling Car in Singapore for September. Singaporean don’t care about the high COE $, just bid only…don’t think COE price will come down anytime soon.
