SINGAPORE - Tesla Singapore's country manager has been laid off as part of global job cuts that chief executive Elon Musk has warned about in recent weeks over worries about a coming recession.

Actually with most of the sales concluded online, and a flat pricing across the globe, what are the roles and KPIs of this Country Manager? With Singapore being the smallest market, I believe the role can be covered by other country managers in the region. 

I popped by Tesla showroom at Toa Payoh on 1 Saturday and am surprised that the showroom is not in operation. A quick check on their website shows that they only open for business from Monday to Friday. Weekends traffic is definitely higher than weekdays, yet they chose to close their door on weekends? Strange move...
