New design language, riding on the popularity of fastback and crossover. BTW, it is the cousin of Citroen C5X.

Nice interior and nice exterior fastback crossover design. The badge still looks very Proton though. Pugs usually look nicer than Citroens. It looks more appealing than the 308 series.

I think in previous news the PSA group cars are gonna be phev. They brought over the usual ICE, 3 cylinder 1.2L turbocharged engine and 8sp auto gb with a plug-in battery pack. All electric will come later.

Nice design.

This profile has been adopted by many car makers, both conti and asiatic.

It looks sleek and sporty, at the same time the cabin space is optimised.

Dimensionally it is tall for a crossover/fastback.

Chio...given current coe prices..wonder how much it might cost upon landing on our sunny shores..

Given the way 508 came almost 2 years after launch maybe we will see 408 arrive just in time for COE to go down again 🤣

Aside from reliability issue major problem for our market is glove box for RHD

Such a shame coz i really love their look

With that being said, the Citroen C4 Cactus has circumvented the problem by putting one big glovebox at the top and covering up the fuse box for RHD.

Now, if they have learnt their lesson...they would have emulated it in all pugs and cits...

Instead of the Pug, I prefer the Citroen C5X this round, because it's slightly more practical than the fastback style of the 408.

One of the most beautiful cars I have seen on the road is it bigger brother the 508.

Pictures don't do it justice

I agree. But their bringing to Sg plague with problems. Took so long, glovebox is still base on LHD, so many practical problems

408 damn chio but again bring to Sg price became so high and C1 VES on a 1.2L engine lol

Indeed their GB is still a bit small but at least they made it into a more practical shape now.

Rented the 308 in UK in May and it was a remarkable improvement over the dark days of the ETG.

That being said, the 408 is ugly beyond redemption, along with the new C4, the rehashed 408 sedan looks better imo.

For the CVES, AutoFrance should take a leaf from C&C and Auto Germany, for all are equipped with the same 1.2L Puretech 130.

Maybe homologate with 15" tyres like how Borneo did with Altis Eco?
