actually it should be the same right? in terms of the maintenance schedule. Unless it has to do with wear rate being higher on E1 than E2?

i've stopped taking note of the location lol

I always stuck in jam on the stretch btw KL and Ipoh.

That’s impression.

It could be more rain that resulted in higher wear

Was it shown on Waze?

I used Google map. Waze only for voice activation for camera.

Yup. Google map showed clearly the red route ahead

On Waze, it usually redirect into back road.

Once I ignored the re-routing, stuck in 1 hr jam

It still does help.  More and more going the back road will then equalize things such that both routes about the same in the end. 🤣

but I must say the routing algorithm is pretty good and traffic analysis based on your position and speed fed back to the server helps to predict next course of action. Of course there is still some delay.

yes definitely better than staying in the jam which wasn't moving at all. Seems the lanes all blocked.

@Shibadog Thanks for sharing.  It was wet weather in Satun where I stayed but just light drizzle.  Temperature was cool and nice.
However, it was sunny, dry and humid in Trang and Phang-nag where I spending a few days.

Northbound towards Ipoh, where do you guys usually stop for lunch?

Malacca, Seremban, Kepong.

North Bound Rawang R&R is a good place to a break.

From thereon, it is about 2hr to Ipoh exit.

Just sharing

i like the pad thai at that Chumpon stall because it's local taste not the tourist taste usually found in big cities. It's on the sweet side, as you mentioned.

the only other place i eat pad thai is at Ang Thong, but that's on the opposite taste profile- it's more sour. Very traditional
