Was watching tdf docu on netflix. At the mountain descend , that ineos rider was zigzagging at 106kmh.

This week tour de Suisse, someone did the same but crashed and died.

That was Tim Pidcock greatest moment.

With the descent, he closed the gap with breakaway paleton and won that stage.

There are 2 riders involved in the crash in Albulapass in Tour de Suisse.

Sadly, Gino passed on while Magnus survived with head concussion.

The descent was towards the finish line, and both crashed into a ravine.

Finish line for a bike race has always been messy.

Crash will always be inevitable especially in the era of disc brake.

Oh... I didn't know that.... Does disc brake make crashes more likely than rim brakes?

With rim brake, cannot go down hill beyond 60km/h. High chance of heat (generating from braking) causing carbon wheel disintegrating.

With disc brake, the brake is more effective and heat is contained in the rotor.

With bigger brake force, cyclists tend to take bigger. This is especially so towards last 20 - 30km.
