Hopefully this bumper deal will not cause the others to ask/demand for raise, causing disrupt to the squad harmony.

Our current pay structure will never be able to help us sustain a consistent fight for all top honours. Player come and go. Player will choose pay packets over club loyalty. Not everyone is like our Stevie. The game has evolved. The model has changed. If a club want to he successf it need to spend.

Klopp stands changed from the times he just joined us. We spend big for Alison, VVD etc to bring in trophies.  I find it is ok if club willing to support the manager financially In fact seeing the transfer market nowadays it seem all premier clubs are spending big money. Some value quality over quantity. Some value quantity over quality. The bottom line is to invest smartly. Look at United and Chelsea. Lukaku, progba, macquire etc.

Investing in young potential and concurrently buying established world class is the right model forward imo.

Club harmony not only stem from internal factors it can also caused by external factors. Seeing players at other clubs double or triple one pay packages. Soon or later it would sway head. Players leaving for better pay packages would also disharmonied (is there such a word😁) the dressing room. The extension of Salah contract is a good sign. It show the club willing to spend if one is good. We aren't a stepping stone for better pay packages.

Recharlison gone to spurs for 40? 50? Crazy. Our Darwin look cheap now in comparison. 😁

There is one more point to add highlighted by other forum writer.

Salah won't be going for world cup. Now till his end of contract in 3 years he only has one more african cup. 👏👏

He will be well rested.

Well lets get rid of Ox and some other deadwood to balance the books. We also need to step up in bringing youth players into the first team. We have too many Neco Williams, Nat Phillips and Adam Lewis.

Salah is fit and relatively injury free so lets hope he can perform for another 2 years with Kaide Gordon waiting in the wings.

Good to have an African forward in the team. Our main worry will be South American Cup as we still have 3 South American forwards. Not sure abt Firminho but Diaz and Nunez will certainly feature for their national team.

“The club have stressed they have structured Mo Salah's deal to ensure it falls within the boundaries of their first team wage deals, with the headline figure based on success and appearance bonuses”.

So if Salah failed to perform during a match, will he be deducted $350K pound ? :wut:

Julian Ward has refreshed out front 3.

He signed Luis Díaz, Darwin Nunez and extended Mo Salah contract.

Smooth and perfect transition from Edwards

Salah was earning 200k a week and now earns 350k

Mane was earning 100k and Origi 60k

So Pool is using Mane and Origi's salary to pay Salah.

Takumi Minamino was earning 60k a week and

Luis Diaz 56k so Minamino's salary is paying for Diaz.

Darwin Nunez is on 140k a week

and that will be made up of  Nat Phillips 65k

and Ben Davies 60k and Neco Williams 25k.

:D

Liverpool always balance the book.

I rather have responsible owners rather than break salary structure. When Mane left, it most likely mean Salah will sign. They cant pay 300k to both.

no surprise that FSG probably funded Salah's salary increase with the salary savings from Origi and Taki. They have a strict wage discipline and limit which has worked well.

I honestly do not think there will much squad disharmony now that Mane is gone. If he was still around, he will be the main suspect trying to ask for the same treatment with Salah. So, we can see the timing of this salary agreement for Salah.

With regards to the other players hoping to get to the same salary bracket as Salah... i think there will be some noises but ultimately, most of the star players will realised that they are unlikely able to command a similar salary, even if they look outside the club.  So, this issue wont be so soon or immediate. If any of these players develop and surface, it will likely to be a good problem rather a problematic one.

Yeah, me also had the same feeling. Salah's contract saga dragged on for so long and the minute Mane concluded his move to BM, Salah decided to sign. It does seem that it was all pre-planned, as in who's staying and who's leaving. Mane, I felt, probably felt disgusted at the way the club treated him in comparison with Salah and decides to pack his bags! I too pity Mane as well.
