Not many played this morning will be going to the world cup. 4 to 5?

Not sure who is going to play in world cup. Think  the backbone shld all be going: Ali, VVD, Fabinho, Thiago, Firminho, Nunez

Klopp might have ran out of ideas for this season but the biggest difference is Mane out Nunez in. Mane was important and his departure certainly upset the balance in attack.

Players getting burnt out (due to last season) is a possibility. Even Klopp admitted that some players could be "over played". Look at Elliot.. starting to make mistakes after forcing himself into starting 11 for most games this season.

Players getting older is real plus we keep letting go younger players like Origi, Minamino, Williams and keep the oldies e.g. extending Hendo with a better contract plus asking Milner to stay (understandable as these two are English, versatile and leaders in the team).

Maybe the newdirector of football also trying to score perfect points in transfer dealing. We do need reliable squad players who can remain fit. Not every signing needs to be Keita, VVD, Thiago, Diaz or Nunez type.

1)The problem with Klopp/Pool is only have one tactic(high press)

2) No budget to buy player before selling(ngiao FSG)

a)This season transition due to replacing aging front 3.

b) Next season transition due to replacing aging midfield

c) Another season transition due to replacing aging defense

d) another season to stabilize and get proper sub. player

Challenge title on 5-6th years from now(provided Klopp still in charge LOL)

Then repeat from a)

Die liao lor😢

Turbocharged

A good 2 - 0 victory versus the current in form team in Europe. A good morale boosting win in light of the results for EPL recently.

Late goals from Salah and Nunez (after lengthy VAR review) gets the job done. But owing to the heavy defeat on match day 1 in Naples, we still finished second in the group.

Next up versus Spurs.

Nunez causing lots of problem when he came on

Vvd will kick Darwin ass if the ref didn't awarded that goal. Var save Darwin ass. It was going in even without Darwin touches. Line men flagged offside.

Simply, most teams play against Liverpool will focus on defence, follow by counter. To go head to head is kamikaze... Man City is not a sit back team, Napoli wins loses or draws will be top of the table unless Liverpool trashes them.

actually Pool was damn lucky to win. Truth be told, i didn't think Napoli deserved to lose...

their goal was chalked off only after a lonnnnnnng VAR review. Before VAR started, none of the Pool players protested... cos they all know it was bad defending, period. Allison was sitting on the ground mind blank, vvd was walking back shaking head... VAR was a bonus.

Napoli's attacks were far more sharp and crisp, and their passes almost always found teammates in good positions, and their wingers can dribble or pass its way through our full backs at will... Jones and Salah on the other hand were ineffective almost throughout, from an attacking point of view. Salah could not outrun their defenders when finally received decent ball, at least twice... Napoli didn't need to park bus, but still Pool couldn't find much inroads from open play - which is the same as most other matches recently, noticeably against the lower teams. TAA was as usual lost in lalaland...

If it wasn't for the 2 corners, i'm not sure if Pool could've scored...

last point of note, is that in the last few mins, the few youngsters came out, injected much-needed life into the play. There was a string of good moves that surprised Napoli, who was so comfortable dealing with the starting 11... dunno was it that Napoli was tired already, or knew that no need to waste too much energy already, but the youngsters showed more threat in that few minutes, compared to the prior 80 min... something seriously wrong with the regular starters...

It is the attitude of the players when they are playing with the lower teams.

Leeds outran Pool by 11km which on average is about 1.1km per outfield player.  That's a lot more field covered by each Leeds player compared to Pool!. That tells everything we need to know about the attitude of the players.

Its tiredness.

If Pool only played 1 match a week then we could win every match.

But playing 2 matches a week, it will be one good game, one bad game, one good game.

That's why I was very angry when Pool had a 3 week break when other teams were playing.

I can go for a buffet once a week and eat a lot.

Ask me to eat 3 buffets over 3 days and I think I want to throw up.

Klopp and counter press

is like asking Mac why only do fast food

or Hilton why only do hotels?

:D

Its their thing. Its what make them successful.

Counter press is for the poor teams who cannot afford the most expensive and skillful players.

They make up for this technical deficit with more effort and hard work.

If we had oil money then we no need counter press and buy the best players in the world and play tiki taka.

Even Klopp admits he loves watching Man City play!
