A 2 - 2 draw at home vs Wolves, with Gakpo marking his debut.

Fell behind (again) through a blunder by Alisson.
Did ok to rally back, equalize and then took the lead.
But alas, could not hold onto it and thus will have to head to Wolves for a replay.

When will salah ever learn to pass at the right time

If he passes its not Salah.

Its an imposter with his face.

Salah will never pass. Mane knows.

Julen Lopetegui: Wolves' third goal at Anfield should have stood.

Why he complaining?

Alisson already gave a him a free goal!

the most concerning thing is that Pool played at anfield with arguably its strongest hand and failed to win a wolves B team. It had to rely on a couple of controversial VAR decision to stay in this competition.

The amount of work to be done and for the confidence / momentum to return cannot be understated.  The team needs to know how to do basic defending. The midfield looks tired and old. hendro looks like he's running with ton on his back nowadays... Fabinho cannot play his usual game of reading calmly and sorting out dangers because he is fighting fire every time the opposition opens up the spaces in midfield.  Pool has to start thinking defending in compact and cohesive unit before it can switch to attacking mode. Now, it seems so chaotic cos the players have attack in their minds even when defending.  Dun think the high line + both full backs pushed high to support the attack can be utilised so freely when the team is leaking goals at this alarming rate.

Pool defend from the front and we miss Firmino who is the one who trigger the press.

We also miss Gini who very quietly plug the holes in midfield.

So many teams score against us so we have most VAR no goals.

I wish no one score against us so we have fewest VAR no goals.

Big question - why is FSG comprising of hard-nosed financially savvy investors deciding to divest LFC?

Perhaps they know that LIverpool abillty to maintain football excellence or dominance on the pitch has peaked and it will need increasingly exorbitant amounts of footballing investments to continue to perform. Need to pass this can to some richer oil shieks to carry on this crazy journey perhaps.... thinking aloud :))

in terms of the front 3 pressing, there isn't an issue with the lack of effort. However, the pressing plus the midfielders are not in sync. So many times a simple ball over the top will bypass the midfield zone and the 2 CBs will face a flood of opposition players charging at them with only Fabinho helping out. Where are the fullbacks? still high up the pitch do the press with the forwards.  There needs to be proper implementation of such high press. in  a game whereby such balls over the top puts Pool's defence under pressure repeatedly, the sensible thing to do is to pull back the FBs to shore things up. Pool lack game intelligence and  a coordinator on the pitch.  everything is too rushed and haphazard.

Its ok Jude Bells in the bag

He only getting 204k a week that's really low compared to what other clubs are offering

But Pool agreed to hire his father as a scout

and sign his younger brother Jobe from Birmingham City.
