Cos Pool keep splashing on forward/striker and fails to see their def and mid heading south. Could be because many players got injured and they think it will be fine once they all come back from injures. Recent times Pool always have issue with Brighton, can't explain or maybe it's true one club always jinx another.

jialat...

that season when sold lovren, also didn't think need to buy CBs... then like bowling pins, all dropped, and we struggled for whole season.

this season it's the midfield turn... actually defence and attack also badly hit... just no strength in depth...

pool had lots of jinx teams over the years. at one point, it was palace, also got west ham... am sure there were more but can't remember...

Nunez new country, new language, new team mates, new playing style

and Portuguese league is not exactly the strongest.

Gekpo same Dutch league not exactly the strongest.

They need time to bed in.

The top 6 teams now except us bought so many duds and still the owners pump in more millions.

Man U wasted 73 million on Sancho and 62 million on Martial but owners still pump in another 300 million.

Arsenal wasted 72 million on Pepe and 56 million on Auba but owners still pump in another 300 million.

City can waste 100 million on Girlish and 70 million on Mahrez to sit on the bench.

Pool owners just cannot compete financially with these owners throwing 300 - 400 million.

:D

Is Klopp trying to get the sack? Making strange decisions lately..

Gakpo was brought in as other clubs were going to move for him... like what we did with Diaz... he could be our next Firminho...

as much as the mental fatigue has set in on the players due to the massive disappointments of last season, I think the same can be said of Klopp who has often carried the team and fronting all the antics of the ownership, which sometimes doesnt go down too well with the fans.

Klopp is managing the squad basically with his hands all tied up.  He cant say certain things too. At some point, he is also human and increaslngly, he is looking like a person heading towards a burnt out. As much as the body language of some players are becoming a concern, Klopp is also losing steam and fire in his eyes lately.  so let's hope he picks himself up and therefore he can pick the rest of the team up.

the likes of players recently left out e.g. Fabinho, Hendro, Matip.. etc.. is a sign that Klopp is trying to tell them to shape up or they wont play. The same will apply for Salah except there are not enough players to bench him...

I just hope that Pool doesn't lose horribly to Madrid.  If they can't handle a Mitoma, how are they going to handle Vinicius Jr?

Not sure how we can contain Vinicius Jr but TAA definitely can't cope with this guy.

Maybe Gomez as RB and  Konate as RCB if VVD is back as LCB.

to be honest, I am less worried playing against Real rather than a Brighton. Real may cut us open with their attacking players but they probably wont outrun our midfielders unlike Brighton.

So, i think we would be slightly ok against Real as in they wont be dominating the entire game when playing against us.  we are the massive underdogs for this tie which actually should raise the motivation for all the players. that should also work in our favor since the issue is mental fatigue and confidence at the moment.

Turbocharged

Ibrahima Konate is facing upto three weeks out with a hamstring injury. Likely will miss games against Wolverhampton Wanderers, Everton, Newcastle United and potentially Real Madrid in the Champions League.

We are really jinxed!

Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate is facing three weeks out with a hamstring injury. He’ll miss Premier League games against Wolves, Everton and Newcastle and possibly the Champions League last 16 first leg against Real Madrid. With Virgil van Dijk also sidelined, his absence could affect Nat Phillips’ chances of leaving Liverpool today.

Both Merseyside clubs having a torrid jan window watching the London clubs buying and refreshing their squads. the next half of the season will be a long one for Pool fans with injury list showing no signs of abating.  no guarantee that players will come back fit and hitting good form either...  cant wait for the ownership transition to happen

Already had a bad feeling going into this match. Just didn't expect to lose 2 goals so early......

Even Everton can suddenly beat the league leaders.  When can Pool turn this around?

Both local players don't deserve to wear their jerseys.

Gomez and TAA need to be benched.

TAA looks lethargic and Gomez, simple header out but yet put it back to the centre of box. Dui...
