The good thing from this Ajax  match is that Salah actually passes quickly to create goals.  The 3rd goal from Elliot was a really quick pass from Salah.

Usually Salah will try to dribble his way in or hold the ball until he decide it is better to pass. But by holding the ball, this actually gives time for the opposite defence to get organised.

interesting confession by Klopp as many could not figure out the formation used in last night game.  Klopp told the press that a diamond formation was used rather than the recent 4-4-2 or the usual 4-3-3.  It was Nunez and Salah on top with Bobby as the no. 10.  No wonder the 2 goals from open play was scored though penetration down the middle. 

it is also now no wonder why Pool was more pegged back by Ajax in the opening 30 min as the players were making all the adjustments on the pitch. I think the last time we played a diamond was under Brendan Rogers! 

I dun think Klopp will play this diamond shape week in week out because most teams who do so regularly, will be easily be boxed in tactically by oppositions which set itself up against it properly.  What is interesting is that Klopp has another card in his pocket he can play so this ups the level of uncertainty for opposition teams.

actually Timo also not the most hor, in EPL. He is only joint-4th in 20/21 season, hitting 5x... harry kane has the honour to hit 9x...

last season Raphinha and Mbeumo (dunno who...) of Brentford topped the chart with 7x each...

this season Joelinton, Nunez and Sterling now joint-top with 3x each.

Nothing else to say except that the season had just gone from bad to worst. 

From losing away to lower teams, to now get beaten at home by them. Somemore back to back loss to the lower teams.

Luckily World Cup is just around the corner for Pool fans to take a break from nightmares.

A debacle. Fell behind early (again).

Came back to equalize. Both sides have good chances and around half way in the 2nd Half, we appears to be tightening the screws whereby their keeper made a number of saves.

Then the sucker punch!

The team is just not defending as a team. Opposition teams are at times able to cut us apart at will. We are simply not playing us a unit.
