early days yet, but the very short cameo by him - and a few other youngsters - in the last few min of a recent game gave a good account of him. hope he can keep improving and give TAA a run for his money... TAA has been too comfortable...

on the same token, Pool's best player, Salah is also going to some time off during the WC break.  Out of the all Pool's forwards, only Nunez is going to the WC. Strange as it sounds. Bobby must be feeling gutted for missing the cut. It feels like his storied career is beginning to see some form of looming sunset.  

TAA also made it to the WC, due to James' KO.  But i think it is likely academic as Southgate is unlikely to give him much minutes given England's playing style which is so defensive orientated.  Hendro is also unlikely to play much unless Kalvin Phillips is not up to fitness level.

i still remember when owen was first selected for world cup, he was also not trusted before first match... then he scored that goal against argentina, and then he was England's only hope... every attack the ball will be looking for him...

I think most will likely to feature in a “departure of tradition” of league cup tie. As there will be no competitive games for close to 6 weeks. JK will field them to give them a proper workout.

actually it's a bit strange that so few pool players are going, right? So many players aren't good enough to play for their national teams, or their national teams aren't going to wc...

The Liverpool manager has confirmed the club’s plan is to go to a training camp in Dubai when the tournament is taking place in Qatar.

“We have seven at the World Cup, not a massive number, but important players,” Klopp said.

“We have clear rules with international games: the boys have to text me if there are any issues. We need the players to tell us and that’s the contact we’ll have definitely.

“We’re in Dubai around the corner.”

I hope TAA score 3 direct free kicks, clocked 6 assists and stay uninjured. PSG might come buy him for 200M. That's the ideal outcome for me... then we buy Bellingham and Rice.. one play in midfield and the other play as makeshift right back (who spend more time in midfield anyway)

Then we have another issue... need to buy 3 CBs to replace VVD, Matip and Gomez. Maybe N Phillips will get to play haha

Finally we have both Keita and Ox fit for a pre-season (or sort of)... let's put both on sale...
