ManU 1 (Shaw) - Aston Villa 3 (EPL - Away)

With VDB selected for the suspended Bruno alongside Garnacho and Rashford, our mid and defence were in shambles as AV was in the front foot with their accurate passing and attack to be 1-0 up in the 7th minute, when Martinez was outpaced and then 2-0 up in the 10th minute from a freekick, which De Gea could have saved easily. The in-from Luke Shaw pulled one back at the stroke of halftime when his long-range effort deflected off their defender to provide some hope for ETH to change the shape of the team for a comeback in the second half.

Just four minutes into the second half and it was 3-1 when AV scored through a freekick which again could be saved if De Gea was more alert. The replacements should have come earlier as it was only with 30 minutes to go when ETH subbed the ineffective VDB, Shaw and Garnacho for Malacia, Martial and Elanga, who provided intensity and attacking flair. It was apparent that Unai Emery outclassed ETH in both tactics and choice of players and doubts of ETH's abilities are beginning to show. That both De Gea and CR7 being replaceable would be a sign that he can and should be ruthless in the League Cup match next Thursday when we meet Aston Villa again.

Vdb and cr7 is wrong selection.

I rather mctominay/fred partner casemiro in mid.

let rashford striker, elanga play flank.

Exactly, as Eriksen was not in-form too. As ETH want another fullback to provide competition, let Dubrovka play instead of DDG to walk the talk. Let's see how he selects the team for AV again this Thursday.

Goodbye CR7

"Cristiano Ronaldo is to leave Manchester United by mutual agreement, with immediate effect. The club thanks him for his immense contribution across two spells at Old Trafford, scoring 145 goals in 346 appearances, and wishes him and his family well for the future," United said in a statement //CNA

MU fan and British billionaire Sir Jim Radcliffe and US Sports conglomerates keen to buy over MU. Asking price of 5 billion pounds upwards (and taking over all debts) after CR7's revelations on the Glazers unwillingness and inability to move the club forward. Also an opportune time for them to sell.

No direct quotations.

So far not clear where these sources coming from.

At the end it is a matter of price.

ManU can keep the money on CR7 ...... [sly]

Saudia Arabia is offering better money.

Quote from Sportal.eu

Cristiano Ronaldo, €216 million three-year deal

Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Nassr

Cristiano Ronaldo could continue his career in Saudi Arabia.

In fact, Al Nassr has reportedly offered the Portuguese phenomenon a three-year contract worth a total of 216 million euros.

According to CBS Sports, the talks are even at an advanced stage.

In the summer there had already been an opening from the Sports Minister. "Everything is possible, I would love to see Ronaldo play in the Saudi league. It would be good for the league, the Saudi sports ecosystem, and inspire young people for the future. He is a role model for many kids and has a great fan base here in Saudi Arabia."

:wut:

Borrowed money to buy MU and milk the profits without investing in its infrastructure, meanwhile with principal loan still outstanding unlike Chelsea's Abramovich 140mil initial investment. Little wonder the MU Fan club has undying hatred for the Glazers and will walk away with billions upon selling.

I won't blame them 100% for man u currently bad form.

Despite everything.  Man u spend 1b in the last 10 years.  They easily out spend every other epl club or even laliga club i think.

The board got as much blame as the owner. The bad purchase of players and changing of manager without long term plan.

Even asking sir alex to stay is a bad choice I think.

If any thing. The american owners dun understand soccer....

It's purely business for them, apart from the bad decisions on getting Sanchez, Depay, DiMaria etc although both Lukaku and Ibra were the better transfers at that time.
