Hard to prove that this is the cause of the fire.. in the video witness said fire from the front left side.. so likely to be the battery where possibility that the LCD monitor power was tapped from.. But then again this type of LCD screen consume little power and proper installation should include a fuse junction.

Picture from the net NOT related to his car in flame.

In my view this type oso hard to claim lemon law until it is proven the dealer sold a defective unit.. don think dealer will swallow this BIG LEMON.. end of the day owner likely to claim own insurance and this could take time while continue to service his loan.

Above just my little view as sunday nothing much to do! whahahahahhaha..

It's a Honda Freed without sliding rear doors. Not a popular model on SG roads.

Freed is more popular than Mobilo (iirc made in Indonesia?)

Think its Mobilo here.

The key word here is "proper".

We all know how slipshod some of these cheap ICE installation workers can be.

Especially if they tapped into the wrong wire (eg. The 12v live wire that continues to draw power even with engine off)  and use a thinner,  lower gauge, cheap wire to splice into the original factory,  the poor contact (just twist togther and not soldered) and the disparity in wire load rating can cause the thinner wire to overheat,  melt the insulation and on a hot sunny day parked outdoor,  perfect recipe for disaster.

I am sure that this is the elusive holy grail car with

1 lady doctor owner

driven to workplace only

parked in covered parking

washed weekly and waxed by angels with the tears of a unicorn.

What could have possibly gone wrong!

Cry no tears 😭

After lunch at the cooked food center, when the business consultant went to pick up the car, he found that a second-hand car that had just been bought for 10 days was caught in a sea of fire, and half of the car was burned to scrap metal.

The fire accident happened at about 3.15pm yesterday in the open-air car park of the Old Airport Road Cooked Food Centre.

The reporter then rushed to the scene. The owner of the car that caught fire, Mr. Xie (52 years old, a business consultant), said in an interview that before the incident, he drove to the cooked food center for lunch, and when he was about to pick up the car and leave, he found a car smoking in the parking lot. "He pointed out that the civil defense forces and police arrived one after another, and the fire was quickly extinguished after the civil defense personnel arrived.
