Not for a while yet.

GetGo is the other big player, every week expand and add new car like nobody business.

TribeCar also another one, quietly quietly refresh their fleet. Just saw a brand new Opel Mokka with Tribecar sticker the other day.

GetGo founder is young.

Why you bother? It’s his own life. If anything happens just make sure he suffers on his own without dragging other road users down with him.

Today at 12.40pm along Bishan road, I just saw a new BlueSG Corsa mounted kerb. A traffic police officer was attending to the driver. As I was driving, I couldn’t take photo.

Car sharing is a rental car with a fancy acronym. The company running it still have to earn smth out of the service like any other car rental companies. I doubt it will be cheaper.

Car owners also wont like all these car sharing companies cos they are direct competitors to the coe pool. If these companies thrive it is not good news for car owners.

Seems like verdict from this talking point seems like car sharing does not save a lot. Lol. Maybe car sharing is good for people who only use occasionally.

for low usage folks, it is certainly more worthwhile to rent a car , but there are other factors like convenience,  even pride of ownership etc, so the consideration is not so straight forward even for low usage folks.

But if one have to spend more than 2.5k to 3k to rent a car, then it is more logical to own a car instead. The monthly B&B car expenses, including depre, car park, maintenance, road tax, insurance, should be about 2.5k?

Yup. They say car sharing is good to save money  if you only need to use occasionally and not daily basis
