"Four public housing estates - Ulu Pandan, Mount Pleasant, Tengah and the Greater Southern Waterfront - will be gazetted as car-lite in a push towards sustainability.

Two other areas, Pearl's Hill and Tanjong Rhu, will also be gazetted. This will come into effect from Oct 31."

How would "car-lite" work if ppl have to travel to work in areas that are not "car-lite" ?

PS these new areas great for people who don't like pesky friends/relatives visiting.  Maybe the flats will be in great  demand!

Correct lo, they talk so much on car lite and create inconvenience in finding parking lots, so far no hear those ministers take the lead to go car lite?! So those ministers time and life very important, cannot afford not to have car? But commoners must go car lite? 🙄

I guess those work areas that are not ''car-lite'', company should provide company bus, so not an excuse. You see even tons of people that have no car also can go work in Jurong Island?! Lol.
