I have been changing from HTC to Vivo to OPPO and for the past >2 years small rice.

HTC was good but later I think the battery bloated and the screen form a gap with the body.

Vivo was OK all the while until the the display partially went haywire. Half the screen spoilt.

OPPO was OK throughout until I don't know how long. No problem before my children got me the small rice. They told me that the phone might not be enough for future needs. The small rice have been functioning well till now.

Oppo most reliable never hung once but made my headphones sound terrible.

Take plane a lot so had to ditch Oppo for better headphones sounding small rice.

My second Oppo. Using the Reno 7 5G now.
Loved them, compared to overpriced Samsung. Especially love the fact that the fast charger is included, compared to other manufacturers who don't include chargers with their upper end phones. The ultra fast charger is great. Don't want to charge your phone so fast? Just use a normal charger.
Oppo phones don't come with as much bloatware as Xiaomi and Samsung.
Android and OS updates are timely. OS is stable, never had the OS crash on me.
Even if need to change parts/battery, the Oppo service center at Novena is not expensive. The spare parts prices are displayed on Oppo Singapore website. No overpricing.

Bought my children Oppo phones too. Really good value for money.

Hmmmm... I thought that should be headphone problems ??🤔

Do different brands of handphones transmit sound differently to bluetooth headphones?🤔

Starting a thread for Oppo mobile phone users to share :

- purchase experience

- user experience (hardware / software)

- what exceeded expectations

- what disappointed

- general Oppo, Android and Color OS knowledge

etc, etc ...

To kick start, mine is the Reno3 which was purchased from Oppo Official Store on Shopee just before last year's 11.11

Preloaded with Android 10 and has since been upgraded to Android 11 and recently to Android 12. Believe I have used up the 2 Android updates typical for Reno series mobile phones.

Was attracted by the quad cam set up, Amoled display, Dolby Atmos, 3.5mm jack, and even the front cam was 44mp (!)

Have to live with the somewhat outdated teardrop notch though.

Not into gaming so did not need a top end processor and mega battery. Have also set phone for +5GB RAM expansion.

Am into photography so the quad cam set up was useful. However, auto pictures tend to be a bit on the "bright" side so I do manual tweak.

For my usage pattern, full charge can last till the evening.

Box came with a fast charger, cable, wired earphones, plastic back cover.

Personally, other major pluses of Oppo (at least mid-high range variants above) are:-

1.  Support multiple uses (similar to Windows or Mac OS) each with segregated space for respective apps, media and files.

2. Built-in apps locker with option for PIN/passcode/pattern to be different from that set for the device lock screen.

3. Camera app Pro mode support Shutter priority mode and ISO priority mode with auto exposure and auto adjustments for other parameters.

I am using OPPO Find me X3 for almost 9 months. Everything is fine except user interface is not very friendly. Battery life is getting way lower.

Still can run apps such as whatapps, facebook, youtube, zaobao, etc. But of late, FB and youtube will sometime just close by itself, and occasionally no audio. Probably as what you have mentioned, it is the outdated OS...

I am thinking of getting a new phone for her, or maybe reformat and pass her my Huawei Mate 20 X (large screen is generally better for old folk but she might not be able to handle it with one hand). Decision, decision, decision...
