A selfless hero. Saved 5 but sadly lost 1. 👍

Do not try unless one is professionally trained.

"Xie's wife added that Xie used to play water polo and so was confident enough to rescue them."

Yeah saw this news yesterday, the guy really is a hero confirm good karma gao gao, just too bad about the last girl who drowned, i think that guy must be feeling shitty due to that, u had did such a meritorious deed which was more than most of us done in a life time, may u n family be blessed gao gao 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻..

He was really a God send angel to those drowning teens. Sad missed out one.

I believe his water polo training did enabled him to tread water longer than many of us. Imagine the duration he needed to save all 5 teens. The under ocean current. Most of us can swim but I doubt many can tread water for so long.

can swim is one thing

to conduct a safe open/choppy water rescue of a panicking person requires another skillset.

Next time his wife cannot ask this question

“if ur mother and i drowning in sea, who would you save”

I remembered seeing a gif posted by someone here on those Taiwanese drama. "Wife asking...Who would you save me and mum. And the husband answered call the police".

The person being rescued could be pulling the rescuer into the water.

Where were the adults/parents? Especially when that section is known to have strong currents, why no care taken?

The guy's a hero. Glad he was able and willing to take the risk to try save them. Kudos.

RIP little gal.
