Marvel actor Jeremy Renner is in "critical but stable" condition after being injured in an accident while plowing snow. Not something I want to read on the 2nd day of 2023. Sounds like an accident which will put him in early retirement. Get well soon Hawkeye!

Sounds very much like a life/career-threatening accident. He's lucky to be alive.

CNN reported that Renner, 51, had to undergo two surgeries after he sustained injuries in a snow ploughing accident in Reno, Nevada in the U.S.

A source close to Renner told CNN that "his injuries are extensive."

According to a report by AP the "Hawkeye" actor suffered "blunt chest trauma and orthopaedic injuries" on Jan. 1.

What are orthopedic injuries?

Severe injury to one or more organs or tissues in the musculoskeletal system is considered orthopedic trauma. It is an injury affecting the joints, bones, muscles, tendons, ligaments, cartilage, or any of the related tissues and vessels.
