Say Gong Xi Fa Cai should be safe? Lol.

Even Gong Xi Fa Cai can also be wrong....

Later Cantonese said they've been ostracised.... because it should be pronounced as Gong Hei Fatt Choy!😂

🤦

Yah....like those auspicious greetings from 1 to 10...?

一帆风顺、二龙腾飞、三羊开泰、四季平安、 五福临门、六六大顺、七星高照、八方来财、九九同心、十全十美...

But those greetings are in Chinese...Again it's "discrimination" from those celebrating the same event with different language or dialect...😅

No wonder nowadays many people 避年, dont celebrate CNY. Stay home or go holidays, no more CNY visiting. Lol.

NTU Lunar New Year board defaced, 'Lunar' word replaced with 'Chinese'

NTU stated that the intention behind the use of the word 'lunar' was to promote inclusivity.

https://mothership.sg/2023/01/ntu-cny-board-defaced-lunar-chinese/

It'll take another few decades...even those anti ccp ah tiongs I know also feel strongly about LNY instead of CNY...more people to celebrate our NY together is even better corright?

Pasar malam also rebranded as night expo, food street, bazaar, simi sai name also have just to be same same but different 😁

Then we should also call Merry Christmas as Merry Holidays?

😅

Christmas is a religious holiday unlike New Year

It is to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ

Gregorian New Year/Lunar New Year/Muslim New Year all same same la

But Jesus not born on 25th Dec 😅

Anyway many still celebrate Christmas even non-Christian and no one asking the festive to be changed to Merry Holidays 😂.

Gregorian/ Solar calendar is accepted as the start of the year.

It's only in English language that people start nitpicking😅

I remember in Mandarin, we seldom say "华人新年” usually say,"农历新年”

It's only when in English, probably it's more common to use CNY in the past that this terms has been imprinted in our mind.
