@ER-3682 Likely exempted from 20% Customs duties since CKU does not incur import duties in Singapore.

OMV = likely calculated from sum of all individual car components' cost. So if OMV is 40k, got discount of 8k (from customs duties exemption)

That 20% is excise duty.

Where got exemption?
If got exemption, all cars from Thailand no need pay excise duty

The COE is printed here. And it's much higher than the OMV!

Prices listed on the news exclude coe.

We don’t have that kind of engineering capability.

You are likely to know it better than me.

p.S. see title above

eh what? We have quite a few factories here that are producing car components btw.

"He added that Hyundai is looking to source parts from Singapore automotive component makers once its production volume ramps up."

See until blur. Btw, how much to bid 1 number? Need to bid number plus buy the EV car. Dunno need to spend how much.

1) sign up membership on HMGICS website
2) pay a deposit of $1000 to be able to start bidding
3) bid for your preferred EVS number
4) successful bidder MUST donate to President charity before HMGICS will invite to make the order for the car.
(Deposit $1000 will be use to offset car deposit price)
5) unsuccessful bidder will refund $1000
6) those who are successful in bidding, but did not donate full, donate not in the name or miss the donation date, the $1000 will be forfeited.
7) numbers that are not successfully bidded, will be taken back by LTA. No car will be release
8) car plate number will follow the vehicle. No retain, transfer or any form of exchange allowed. (Car scrap, car plate number gone)
