What constitutes bribery?

Genuinely curious.

I give a few examples that i think are vague?

Teacher's day presents?

Hampers from clients to your company?

Is someone asking for extra commission asking for a bribe?

What about a tip?

This question has on and off been in my mind but now the flavour of the month seems to be corruption and bribery so yes, curious.

Purchaser asking for a sum of Money from His/Her Company's Suppliers for Supplying his Company with Goods or Services..is counted as Corruption..as the recent SBST Engineer's Case.

Your HR should have guidelines. Like what type of gift or value need to declare. Some have guidelines not to exceed certain amount.

Your employer CHRO and Chief Counsel should have all the answers.

Take 1 dollar that's bribery. Go to jail. Give tens of millions to secure contract, that's grey area. And no worries name's not even published.

Peasants like us will never understand it.

Just like RADX said

The lesson here is if you want to do it, do big, provided all areas are properly connected!

Like they say, can't repay the bank some sum of money, it's your problem. Can't repay hundred of millions, then it's the bank's problem!

Want to take or want to give?

If you giving on your own will, it is call "appreciation".

If you are asking because you want to take, it means you are not ready to take. [laugh][laugh][laugh]

We never get many gifts in my department.  Usually the operating theatres get the gifts. And specialized wards.

😞

Funnily enough, we don't get many gifts but if we do, it's usually biscuits.  Sian.  But now with COVID, it's always face masks and some new hand sanitisers

I am actually aiming a PHEV or hybrid car next. Probably BMW or Volvo.  I have 7 years to wait for recession plus COE crash to get it cheap.  :D.  Or maybe 7 years of Toto.  Just win one time.
