PSP415 Supersonic March 21, 2023 Share March 21, 2023 Pig's Organ Soup at Jln Kukoh Hawker Centre. Since there to collect the Kueh Kueh and they are open, took for dinner. Traditional taste except no intestines big or small. I din take liver or kidney. Just pig's stomach, pork, pork balls, salted vegetables and braised eggs. Chilli and shallots self service. Ordered this morning and ready for collection at about 6pm. Preparation starts from early morning so no Kueh for sale/makan till much later in the day. Freshly made and steamed. Very the nice. Ingredients are fragrant, alot and skin no thick thick type. Chewy texture. One of the best for me and its my first time trying though they have been around for past 44 years in this HC, if i heard correctly. 😋😋😋😋😋👍👍👍 Packed full full and so fragrant. Soon Kueh Or Kueh (Yam) From this stall. They only make Teochew Kueh now. Stay safe all Cheers

Sotong, sunny side up, begadil and Sayur Oneh on Nasi Lemak. 😋😋😋😋 Place after last reno is much cleaner, more airy, brighter than before. Lady worker quite fast with trolley going around collecting plates, bowls, glasses. Hence collection point not spilling over and birds not having furious conferences. 😂 There is a Teochew Pig's Organ Soup stall that's recommended by friends but not ready for business then. Ordered some Soon Kueh, Png Kueh, Or Kueh, Koo Chye Kueh which will only be ready for collection at 6-7pm. Supposedly nice, first time buying so not sure of its quality yet. Stay safe all Cheers That pig organ soup has been there since day one when his late father operated the business out of a push cart at the open area where the carpark is right now. Their zhu zar mee sua is really good and vfm...the current owner can be grouchy towards his helper but always chatty and all smiles with customers... You managed to get the soon kueh and png kueh...? It's almost always sold out by 10am everyday... given supposedly cheaper rental...they shouldn't operate like a manufacturing outlet instead of a hawker stall in order to benefit the neighbourhood or general public...

Yes, mountain turtle me. The "grouchy" man is all smiles, chatty and we yada in Teochew, like old neighbours from some ulu village in China. He shared got "4 Heavenly Kings" within the HC - his stall, the Fishball Noodles, the Teochew Kueh and Fish Soup. Once upon a few villages time, he stayed upstairs in one of the rental units, now he's staying in Bt Batok. He loves places with lots of greenery, "got mountain or hills" and presence of lots of water (Little Gulin comes to mind). Yes, he's in the mood for a chat and being a Teochew myself, it was fun flying Teochew phrases not often used these days except with older erhemm, folks. Authentic Teochew with no Rojak of Hokkien, Malay, Cantonese etc. 😂😂 Sing song like that. The Teochew Kueh stall told us need to wait till later in the day as they are preparing everything from scratch when we were there at 9am+. Likely all sold out hence need to make fresh stocks. First time buying so not sure what's their sales volume or movement. The quality is there. Fully packed with fragrant, fresh ingredients per piece and steamed just right for a chewy texture. Bought 3 packets full. Tummy very happy. 😁🤭 Edited March 21, 2023 by PSP415

The kueh is really nice as mum was in this business too and we can guage. The Pig Organ soup boss must have grown much older as I remember him being chatty. I think it's ok enough for the price. As long as it's not coffeeshop dimsum which 90% are waste of calories. Dim sum places tend to have a few things that they are much better at. Like Dimsum Haus is very good at liu sha bao. Honestly even the top tier dim sum places, there's some dimsum which is just average and a few specialities.
