Any good recommendations for the HDMI to usb C cable for the above mentioned?

this dongle is good enough. I have one for my office usage also.

Yours is also the 2020 MacBook Air? Been looking around and a lot only works on the 2017 version.

Not sure if yours is same as mine. Mine is Macbook Air with M1 chip. There is also intel chip versions in 2020. 

I am using two types. I use it on external monitor and tv. This one is made for macbook and works well, no issues. Only issue is if left plugged in, it will drain the battery.

This one that I am using, interchangeable with my ipad air too. No issues too.

My friend using Anker brand. He said stable connection thorough.

May have to buy online as local outlets may not sell.
