Didu Supercharged Friday at 02:38 AM Share Friday at 02:38 AM No need to speculate liao. McDonald has such policy for their Drive-thru. Are bicycles allowed through Drive Thru? May 21, 2018 McDonald's supports the health and environmental benefits of cycling, however it is our practice not to serve cyclists using the drive-thru lane or drive-thru service windows. Why? The drive-thru facility is designed for motor vehicles and, on balance, we are concerned that use by cyclists could compromise their safety through: the necessarily close proximity with motor vehicles; the limited visibility of cycles (particularly given the sharp corners of the drive thru lane); and the difficulties of carrying food and drinks and retaining full control of a bicycle. In reaching this view we have consulted with our own Hygiene and Safety Department, the Highway Code, and the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA). https://www.mcdonalds.com/gb/en-gb/help/faq/are-bicycles-allowed-through-drive-thru.html#:~:text=McDonald's supports the health and,or drive-thru service windows.

If you've ever been peckish for some fries, or crave a burger for supper, you know the struggle. Do you order in? That might seem wasteful or expensive, so you decide to go and pickup your order, or perhaps even use the drive-through. But you're 14 years old and you can't drive, so what do you do? Grab your horse, and a pair of friends, and ride to the nearest drive-through, of course. Fast food ride through TikToker @missneoo0 and a pair of friends saddled up and headed to a Kuala Terengganu McDonald's drive-through, and posted a video of her experience. The video starts with their three horses patiently waiting behind a red hatchback in line, having just completed her order. The car moves off and the trio urge their horses onward, past the payment booth where a pair of obviously bemused McDonald's staff were waiting. One got his phone out to take pictures. It turns out the horses weren't the only slightly old fashioned tech the kids were brandishing; they also paid in cash. The friends round the corner, and collected their food, revealing a problem with visiting a drive-through on horseback: saddles don't usually come with cup holders. Apparently, some McD staff in UK was not cowboy enough to serve a horse rider. 😁 Horseback rider turned away from McDonald’s drive-thru This is the hilarious moment a man tried to ride a horse through a McDonald’s drive-through — before being told “neigh.” Bemused customers were surprised to see the rider “trotting up” to the kiosk before trying to place an order for his “mane” course. But he was stopped in his tracks by a staff member who told him he had to dismount. Jason Barrett, 43, was lining up for his lunch at the time and was forced to do a “double take.” He said: “I had to do a double take because you don’t see that every day. But I looked around and no one seemed to be bothered, I just thought people must be used to it.” “He went to make his order and a member of staff came out to talk to him and said, ‘You can’t do this, you have to go in and order, the drive-through is only for cars.'” “He just wanted to order a coffee, I thought he would want a burger as well but it was just a coffee.” Barrett then watched the rider on the horse walk to the parking bay, get off and tie it up. The digital and social marketing consultant said: “Because the McDonald’s worker told him he can’t do that, he just parked his horse up and walked in to get his coffee instead. Once he got his coffee, he got back on the horse and just trotted off across the grass with his latte.” “Apparently he rode his horse to Tesco to get his shopping the other day. The horse was just waiting for him to get his shopping and they went off.” The bizarre scene was snapped Thursday afternoon at McDonald’s in Suffolk, England. https://nypost.com/2018/03/23/horseback-rider-turned-away-from-mcdonalds-drive-thru/ 1
