So many parties need to sign off before it is built. It is up to 360kw x 240 bays. Less than 1%of what Changi airport is using if my maths is correct. The depot will also be fitted with 240 EV chargers that can each fully charge single-deck buses in less than one-and-a-half hours. Providing up to 360kW of power, each charger is "equipped with smart charging functions to optimise charging speed and efficiency with real-time monitoring, control and diagnostic capabilities," added LTA. There will always be excess capacity within the grid for EV charging. May not need to generate more electricity

I suspect SP will need to spend some money but it should be progressive. Edited October 25, 2024 by Voodooman

More like 10 charger with 20 charging slots. Transmission infra needs to be upgraded to accommodate that.

I am just assuming an estate of 500-600 units with 300 EV (maybe after 2030) and every EV is charged once a week, you will need 43 AC charges (300/7). My base case for EV to work in Singapore is most people will charge overnight at home or at work.

That's the convenience of EV. Not necessarily have to do overnight.
