Congratulations for your purchase. SL7? How much for gtd package? I was tempted by SL7 but I am usually one that dislikes following trends and BYD is probably the hottest EV brand right now. I dislike being a "me too" and everywhere i turn it's just another BYD... Secondly, while i actually liked that the interior looked like a conventional car with gear knob on the "transmission tunnel" surrounded by physical buttons.... but then i felt if i want to go EV then maybe go all the way. Exterior design wise i think SL7 is good but i just kinda prefer the one i chose (subjective la). The first time i sat in SL7 at Alexandra, felt good but i don't know why the second time at Suntec, didn't feel so good.... i had lots of mixed feelings and in dilemma for awhile as I was earlier already looking at ZEEKR X as "best value" Cat B EV (Expo price below $190k, showroom slightly less) but the X was a bit too small for me and roughly the same size as my ICE car so size/presence wise it didn't feel like an upgrade....also the rear design didn't sit so well with me. Eventually found the "other" car which i had in the past (before there was SL7) already discounted due to its size (roughly same size as SL7) but always liked the design when i saw it on the road.... when i walked in they lowered their price to be the same as SL7 for expo but on top of that gave me additional $10k for my trade in making them the significantly better deal. So in the end i signed the XP G6....Expo price is $112,999 4 bids gtd. Showroom price as i mentioned, they met the same price as SL7.... but please note 2025 G6 is coming end of year. Biggest difference seems to be 2025 will have ambient light (current one including mine does not). I didn't want to say earlier cos got someone going around saying which AD mark up a lot, not worth to buy, etc etc. I wanted to wait until it blows over as i don't want to create a "situation". To be fair, he is not entirely wrong. I also had qualms about getting the G6 cos the OMV is actually the same the ZEEKR X yet the price is like +$20k more, how to justify?? Btw SL7's OMV also around the same if i am not wrong. My G6 SA could not answer why when i asked why the big difference. It felt like I was being "conned". And i spend a lot of time doing research and felt like i am not doing my research justice if in the end i don't follow the findings.... but after awhile i decided not to obsess over AD's margin (we can't be buying car based on AD margin). Besides, if i am not wrong, like for like, MB's OMV is usually lower than BMW's yet MB cars are more expensive. Some people say MB resale value is better, u pay more earlier cos u get more later. So it's not unusual that the selling price doesn't follow the OMV... moreoever, it could be the factory side that is dictating prices and not really that the AD is "greedy" (G6 and X share the same parent AD - Premium Auto). After i signed the dotted line, felt so happy which confirmed that no need to think so much about how much AD earns. BUY WHAT U LIKE! That in itself is already priceless. Sorry for the long post.

Mkl22 Supersonic May 3 Share May 3 It is always buy what you like. Your money you decide. Why should one give a shit about those yapping all day long about margins. Got the ability then try to self import, if one die die must buy a particular brand at a lower margin.

Money cannot bring inside grave one so yes, buy one that one likes.
