Honestly no one has been the same after Jeremy, Richard and James left Top Gear. Not them, not Top Gear.

The Grand Tour wasn’t Top Gear. Top Gear wasn’t the old Top Gear anymore either, not even with the various local variants, multiple replacement presenters even if they were stars in their own right.

The producers still can’t see that formula of three guys standing in front of a camera clowning around with cars only worked when the show is called Top Gear and it is Jeremy, Richard and James hosting. But anyway, they are getting old, they have made their millions so it is time to close the chapter.

TG and GT were great...but only with the three British stooges...i mean British gentlemen...albeit sometimes with foul mouth...can neither be replicated nor similar...ever...🙏😁

Wanted to rewatch all episodes of the GT but wife cancelled amazon due to the recent price hike...😂

To be honest, the tours can take a toll on people of the trio's age. Conditions are so harsh and rugged some times.

Boring la.

Even Grand Tour also not very interesting most of the time.

There is a recap series on Amazon now where Hammond and May talked about some of their experiences in some of the series. Not sure why Clarkson is missing.

I think one of the reasons the trio is so successful is that what they do is so reflective of what many men want to do in their middle age lives : drive good cars, tour exotic places, beer with good mates, away from parental, work, and many other life responsibilities.

The show is a form of escape for many people.

And also, the quality of videos that YouTube content creators put out have greatly narrowed the gap to professional productions, and usually come in shorter clips that suit the attention span of the new generation of viewers. And for the cost of a subscription and watching some ads you get entertainment that suits you. Not everyone likes the same type of motoring show - you can choose between ThatDudeInBlue, Gears and Gasoline, MightyCarMods, Hagerty, VinWiki and any one of the other shows according to your preferences.

I rather watch the 3 fold a cardboard box then see TG or GT without them.

And I did.

Its on YouTube.

Even this is more entertaining than watching the new top gear.

Whoever's taking over the new gt should come up with their own format and not follow what the 3 has done, ie epic road trips. i like watching matt Watsons video as well. He got his own style and character.

Clarkson probably too busy with his farm.

2nd Gear

I've switched to watching Mat Armstrong on YouTube.

Started off refurbishing cheap wrecks in car parks, now he's upped his game and bought high end wrecks -lambos, Ferraris, RR - to repair and sell. Gifted kid, 0 training whatsoever, made millions showing how it's done on YT.

I enjoyed TG when it was hosted by Matt LeBlanc, Chris Harris and Rory Reid. Good mix of comedy (Matt), serious driving (Chris) and car review (Rory)

The seasons after that w the 3 wannabe brit & scottish clowns were cringey and din bother after that

Don't remember a Scottish dude, but I enjoy Chris - he still has video now on YT.
