I went to these three cities recently and took some unique photos, which others say are nice. I will share them with you over the next few days. I am sharing them on a separate thread instead of tapping on other threads, as the trip path for these cities is unique.

My first return to Shanghai after 8 years it started with a some chill at the airport lounge having a plate of chicken rice as I would be missing out on SG food for the following weeks or so. Was craving for a plate of Hokkien mee but that has to wait.

If go southern china during december (don't want too cold).
Where is recommended ar.

I'm thinking of going CN in Dec 26. Just 7-8 days max.
Considered CN virgin. So I'm ok with anything. Not too bothered about food. But just see more new things (not big cityscapes).

Looking forward to the Xiamen food pictures also. Curious why TS chose to visit these 3 cities that are quite far apart.

At least must know your priority - food or scenery or others.

Wuyi Shang for the scenery if it can be considered southern haha. Huang Shang also can consider if taking high speed train. Xiamen for the food definitely.

I don't want to spend too much time traveling in between since it's just a 1 week trip. I've taken a tour of guangzhou before from HK and wasn't really that impressed.
So just wondering what sceneries are worth seeing in December.

google seems to recommend yunnan the most.

I am going Lijiang and xianggelila in Nov. If go in Dec, night weather will be single digit. In fact in Nov already quite cold. But that area is definitely for scenery like 丽江古城, 香格里拉,大理, etc.

The Youtuber made alot of videos on Yunnan, can binge to know more about the region.

yeah cos I can only go for shorter holidays. Any non-direct flight is immediately a major time waster.

Country too big sometimes not good thing for people like me lol.

You can try SG => GZ. GZ => Lijiang.

Flight is about 7hrs (both leg without transit).

Have lah. Scoot. From KunMing can take high speed train to Lijiang or by domestic flight. But I prefer to take train more relax and better views along the way.

You can land in GZ and go to Foshan, Jiangmen or other cities nearby

As humidity is high in Southern China, it might feel colder than actual temperature.

Shanghai is not for tour but had some things to do there. And I have been to many cities in China.

Tianjin is one I have not been to before. Also, I saw something I would like to visit there.

For Xiamen, I chose that to be my last leg, cos its closer to home and also because of my Hokkien roots.
