I have a spreadsheet showing current tyre life, calculated base on the tyre life of previous sets

quite consistent and accurate

I can project when I need tyre change

image.png.ef26fe1bc727bc31d8e587b117db334b.png

front tyres 57% (next change 17/10/2026)

rear tyres 85% (next change 19/7/2026)

I can't.

After 40k km, still got 5mm🤭

my wife's car front tyres can only last 11 months, rear tyres a bit longer at 18 months

I visit tyre shop more often than I visit my mother 😅

Likely weight + heavy braking

Mine also RWD with 540Nm torque pushing it, but the front still wears fast. Maybe too many fast expressway exiting😅

Although will end up as, "now I see my mother more than I visit tyre shop", but that's because his wife's tyres now last twice as long, but the time lapse to see the mother remains unchanged. [laugh] [laugh] [laugh]

I also blur... 😅

yes, rear tyre life is 1.5 times of the front

that car is a FR, front rear weight distribution is 55/45

the front tyres definitely work harder

can tell from the tyre temperatures

I think being staggered wheels also put more pressure (weight) on the front tyres

smaller front contact patch, less rubber to wear off too

I inflate same pressure for all four wheels

after driving a while, the front tyres temperature will bump up the pressure higher than the rear

As long as front engine, even if rwd, front tyre still will wear faster.

But compare to front engine fwd, its much better.

normal front engine fwd, is like ratio, 4:1 mean if dun rotate, front change 4 set, back only change 1 set

front engine rwd is like 2:1

Finally took a photo this morning.

Really puzzled why no tread wear indicators.

I got 2 answers:

a) Can see treads, = can drive on.

b) Those red circled ones, when they disappear means time to change tayar.. car.
