Even if got scaffolding on fire. Not a new estate. Scaffolding is for the estate upgrading(same like our HDB HIP). There are existing residents residing in the buildings. Since it is workday, school day exclude working adults and students literally it mean elderly, house pet, domestic helper at home. Hope they got out in times. Fire started on one side of one the building. Category 1 at around 2plus pm. Cateory 3 around 3pm. About one hour I reckon to evacuate. Now Category 5, the highest. Fire spreaded to 8 block now. Atonchia Supersonic November 26 Share November 26 I think there's a reason why SG don't use bamboo scaffolding... The plastic netting also added to fire risk.

Ct3833 Supersonic November 26 Share November 26 I know nothing about fire fighting but looking at the miserable water jet from the fire firemen, obviously it is difficult to even contain the fire, letting alone to put it out.

Jman888 Moderator November 26 Share November 26 I think the fire dept gave up liao, almost all the units are still burning now. Death toll will increase as no one knows how many people were trapped inside. saw a FB photo post by a resident where he was inside the building while the fire was literally outside the building.
