New Wira A Star Attraction

Some manufacturers just can't help showing off. Why else would a car that's not due here for nearly a year be taken on a jaunt to France with only a bit of tape to hide it? The ticket booth at the Eurostar terminal is hardly a secret location either!

The car is the Proton Wira replacement, which our sources say could get a new name. It was snapped by Peter March-Smith of Southwood, Hants, who said: "It was one of two waiting to board the train. The other was black and looked decidedly conspicuous." The car was in the hands of Lotus - owned by Proton - and is now undergoing final testing. Meanwhile, Proton is said to be planning a small sports coup

The taxi drivers are using these facelifted Saga, and these cars are apparently very hardy, tough and economical and cheap & easy to maintain.
