Karsoon Neutral Newbie August 26, 2003 Share August 26, 2003 Just got to share this story with everyone! After having my scratched rims for like 1 month or so. I decided to get it fixed today after reading some threads in the BMW forum. This morning, I drove to Yew Lip @ Sim Ming to try out their service. Reached their workshop at 9am. Lady boss not in and I waited for awhile for her arrival so that she can quote me. After waiting for abt 15min, she arrvied and introduced herself. She took a look at my scratched rims and quoted me S$50 for both rims. Rear right had a scratch like 20cm and the rear left had a dip. I found $50 to fix both were very reasonable and I went for it. The whole process took them 2.5hrs to fix. The end results were even better than my expected. Its so smooth and their patch work looks just like brand new. No taking out of wheels from the car. Just masking tapes and some paddings and then using the spray to finish the whole job! All I can say is their service, job and price are excellent. I will recommend any brothers/sisters to get your rims done up if you got your precious rims scratched. Karsoon Neutral Newbie August 27, 2003 Author Share August 27, 2003 Yeah! I had been driving my scratched rims for more than a month or so. It cuts my heart when my wife told me that she rubbed the wheels along the kerbs when she parked. *ouch* I am glad I got to know this place to fix my rims. Yes, the boss also told me that they have different paints for different types of rims. Saw a BM320 with 18" gun metal rims there too. Boss said they will bring the spray paint to the closest color as possible. So, gun metal rims shall not be a problem either.
Karsoon Neutral Newbie August 27, 2003 Author Share August 27, 2003 Yep! I think the price is just right. I did get quotes from SouthEast tyres too. They told me $80 per rim which is too expensive.

Chippz Neutral Newbie August 27, 2003 Share August 27, 2003 Imagine if you did your rims there...it would be $160 for two rims...compared to $50 for two rims at Yew Lip
Spoon Neutral Newbie August 27, 2003 Share August 27, 2003 thanks a million dudes....and yea, definitely cheaper. will be doing one so hope it'll be cheaper! didn't do any asking around but was told fixing of rims can be pretty expensive. my initial reaction when i bumped those rims was "that's it...HK liow...probabaly need to change the whole set". my only worry was that the scratched rim would not fail structurally, afterall, rims were casted. gee.. think i worry too much man...
