Rear drum cover

Noticed that my rear brake drum cover is kinda ugly. Metal has turn whitish/faded....

Any one have the same probm ? can use ordinary spray paint to go over it ?

U could try using HT paint, can last longer and withstand high temp..

 

Normal paint won't last, definitely paint will 'chips-away'....

 

There's one guy in Toyata Club S'pore forum doing freelance in caliper painting (that includes rear drums also),,,,price very reasonable...

You should try paint the front caliper to same color too, sure look cool.

 

As what Super4 has mention, you need to get those high temperature paint.

You should paint front caliper to the same color too, sure look .

Thanks for the links, very useful. Will go & hunt for those high temp

paint. (wunder if they sell at normal hardware shop ?). Caliper look OK

but if paint the entire rear drum cover ! dunno obiang or not ? guess jus have to try.

Dun worry, there is a Nissan Paire near my place painted the both caliper/drum to yellow, looks cool

 

If you still worried, paint it black.

That means you have to remove your wheel sbefore spraying te drums.

 

Be careful of wind as the paint vapour can stain your paint work.
